YardRunner

Every pallet, tonne and yard of it, accounted for.

Inventory, pricing and orders for masonry and landscape supply yards. YardRunner runs the counter, the yard, the trucks, the rental fleet, the crew’s hours and the receivables in one system, built around how a yard actually sells: by the bag, the pallet and the tonne, on account, with a deposit on every pallet.

Runs in the browser on any desktop, tablet or phone, and installs to the home screen. $749 CAD a month per business after a 14-day free trial, with Rentals and Time & Attendance as add-ons.

  • Counter and orders

Walk-ins, orders on account, quotes and payments. Products sell in several units, and contract prices, price lists and credit checks apply themselves.

  • Yard and dispatch

A pick queue with bins and colour runs, big buttons for gloves, and a dispatch board of trucks by the hour with ETA texts to customers.

  • Driver app

Each driver’s run in order on their phone, with directions, site notes, a signature at the curb and the truck’s location shared with dispatch.

  • Rentals

The fleet, an availability calendar with no double booking, signed agreements, hour meters, inspections and service lockouts.

  • Inventory and purchasing

Stock per yard, colour runs, purchase orders, receiving at average cost, transfers between yards and cycle counts.

  • Receivables and pallets

Invoices on terms, aging and statements, returns and credits, and pallet deposits tracked out and back.

  • Contractor portal

Contractors reorder from the job site, follow their delivery on a map, use the patio calculator and download statements.

  • Time and attendance

Punches from the counter tablet, phones and the driver app, Ontario and Quebec overtime rules, and approved hours sent to payroll.

Generic software counts boxes. A yard doesn't sell boxes.

Retail point of sale can't sell half a pallet or put a builder on net 30. Big ERPs can, after a six-month implementation and a server in the back office. Most yards end up somewhere in between, with a POS, a spreadsheet and a whiteboard.

YardRunner gives everyone the screen they need: the counter rings up and takes payments, the yard crew pick and load without ever seeing prices, drivers see their own run and nothing else, and the office handles prices, credit, receivables, purchasing and reports, with every change logged.

It works with what you already use: card payments and payment links through Stripe, sales tax worked out per order, QuickBooks Online kept up to date as you go, and approved hours exported for ADP.
